The NRC met with TerraPower in a planned stop to look at construction as TerraPower awaits a final decision to grant the Natruim Plant the ability to complete their sodium cooled reactor, a first under NRC oversite. On November 13th, TerraPower representatives, including CEO Chris Levesque, hosted an open house to provide the community with the latest updates on the Natrium Nuclear Power Plant construction. The act of giving and showing gratitude this season kicked off with generous donations from ExxonMobil giving back to the communities that have supported ExxonMobil over the years. Progress continues for Terra Power as the power plant was issued the Environmental Impact Statement from the NRC. This is a first which has been issued for an advance nuclear power plant. The project now awaits the highly anticipated permit from the NRC to start construction for the nuclear reactor and the nuclear island portion of the power plant.
